Hi there my name is Ian and I'm the founder of Imagine Christian Ministry. I have been a committed Christian for over forty years. I have served the Lord as a ordained Methodist Deacon for almost twenty years in various churches around the country. I have also served as an active lay person in numerous roles.
I currently serve as a mental health chaplain for the Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust
I have personal lived experience of mental illness having been diagnosed with depression, anxiety and burnout.
Therefore Imagine Christian Ministry is built on many years of experience, continual ministerial development and a life of ongoing Christian discipleship.
The purpose of Imagine Christian Ministry is three fold.
To encourage, enable and empower ...............
Through a range of services and resources.
The vision behind Imagine Christian ministry is to provide a deep and meaningful experience of Christian spirituality that 'Builds Lives and Builds Communities'.
Our ministry is based on the book of Neheniah in all its wonderful breath and depth.
We do three things well.
1: We listen.
We listen to our Lord. Prayer is foundational to all we do.
Nehemiah 1:4
"I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven".
2: We plan.
Nehemiah 2:20
"The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servents will arise and build"
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future"
So as we pray and plan we encourage that sense of discernment and seeking to understand the plans the Lord has for us to arise and build His kingdom.
We offer a range of resources to help people discern God’s presence in their lives.
we aim to be “contemplatives in action,” people who bring this sense of spirituality into our daily lives
3: We deliver.
Nehemiah 3:1
Then Eliashib the high priest rose and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set up it's doors. They consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hananel.
Then verse two begins 'And next to him..........' this phrase is used through out the record (Nehemiah 3) of the actual re-building of the walls.
The point here is team work and the building of individual lives and the building of their communities.
